Social Studies: Think about what lesson you would like to teach.
A quick recap on dividing by zero:The inverse operation for
n ÷ x = q is:
q × x = n
so if n = 6
and x = 3
then q = 2
n ÷ x = q
so: if 6 ÷ 3 = 2 , the inverse operation would then be:
2 × 3 = 6
q × x = n
BUT if n = 7 and x = 0, as in
7 ÷ 0
(n ÷ x) that would suggest that the inverse operation is:
q × 0 = 7
(q × x = n)
if q = 7, then it would read
7 × 0 = 7, which is false.
